User Data Deletion
Last updated: August 15, 2026
You are in control of your data. This page explains how to disconnect Instagram and permanently delete your Instagram Maps account and associated data.
What data we store
If you connect Instagram, we store your Instagram username, profile details, aggregated audience geography, content performance metrics, and the access token needed to refresh this data, all obtained through Meta's official APIs with your permission. We also store your account email, posting calendar, AI recommendations, and subscription records.
Disconnect Instagram
Signed-in users can disconnect Instagram from the app at any time. Disconnecting revokes our access token and stops further data collection. You can also remove Instagram Maps in Instagram under Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites.
Delete your account and data
Send a deletion request to privacy@instagramaps.com from the email address linked to your account with the subject “Data deletion request”. We will confirm the request, complete deletion within 30 days, and send confirmation. Deletion is permanent.
What is deleted
Deletion removes your Instagram data, access tokens, calendar entries, AI recommendations, and subscription records associated with your account.
Active subscriptions
Cancel an active paid plan before or alongside your deletion request. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a PayPal subscription.
