Instagram Maps helps creators understand where their audience is located and how their content performs by location. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Instagram Maps is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc. or Instagram.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and basic profile details through our authentication provider (Clerk) to create and secure your account.

Instagram data with your permission. Through Meta's official APIs, we may access your username, profile picture, follower counts, aggregated audience geography, and content performance metrics after you approve the requested permissions. We never ask for or store your Instagram password.

Usage information. We collect basic technical information such as browser type and pages visited to keep the service reliable.

How we use your information

We use your information to show your audience map, analyze content performance by location, and generate personalized recommendations. We do not sell personal information or use Instagram data for advertising.

Data sharing

We do not share personal information except with confidential service providers who operate the product, when required by law, or with your explicit consent.

Data retention and deletion

We keep data only while your account is active. You can disconnect Instagram at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact privacy@instagramaps.com; we will complete deletion within 30 days.

Security and your rights

Access tokens and personal data are stored securely and encrypted in transit. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to processing. Contact privacy@instagramaps.com to exercise them.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
